Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care and Florida Baptist Convention host Smiles for Miles 904 – the 2nd annual Free dental day
A local dental practice is offering free dental services to 100 local residents who are in need of dental treatments. Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care and Florida Baptist Convention will host its second annual “Smiles for Miles 904,” a free dental event offering important dental treatments, including exams, X-rays, extractions, and other emergency dental treatments. Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care is offering these free services by appointment only. Prior to the event, patients must attend a dental screening on Thursday, March 10 between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. to secure an appointment time to return on March 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 100 patients will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is located at Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care at 1700 Wells Road, Suite #19, Orange Park, Florida, 32073. Six dentists, two hygienists, seven dental assistants, and five office members will provide care to 100 patients at the dental office and Florida Baptist Convention’s mobile dental unit. “We’re extremely excited to host our second annual Free Dental Day to patients who cannot afford important dental procedures or preventive care,” said Dr. Michael Thomasino of Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care. “My staff and I look forward to treating our underserved community once again.” Dr. Raj Patel of Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care said, “I look forward to giving back by providing free dental care to those who cannot otherwise afford it.” “Florida Baptist Convention and dentists from across Florida have been partnering since 1973 to provide dental care for the underserved community. We are excited to have the opportunity to partner again with Sunrise Emergency & Family Dental Care to provide services to those in need in Orange Park and Jacksonville,” said Marc Johnston, the Community Ministries Catalyst for the Florida Baptist Convention.
